The entertainment industry has suffered yet another blow. Yesterday news broke that legendary artist manager Kgomotso Modise died on Monday afternoon after a short illness.
A statement posted on social media by the family read: “It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our son and brother, Kgomotso Modise. Kgomotso passed on from a short illness.
“We will inform you on this page of any developments regarding funeral arrangements. May his soul rest in eternal peace.”
Before long, messages from fans and musicians across the country started pouring in.
The Tshwane Gospel Choir wrote on Facebook: “Saddened by the passing of Kgomotso Modise, who was very instrumental in media relations for our recent recording.”
Khanyi Magubane wrote: “My friend is gone! I called you a few days ago to check up on you. You told me you were getting better.
“I said I would visit you and now you are gone, just like that. You did an amazing job as the PR agent for the All White Gospel Picnic and we will forever honour you and the work you have done for the industry.
“From Judith Sephuma and the Tshwane Gospel Choir to T Musicman, they trusted you with all their PR from Joy of Jazz to the Nubian Music Festival. I’m shocked. I told you we still need you.”
