After a group of seven tourists‚ including an Iraqi diplomat‚ were attacked at the Corlett Drive offramp in Johannesburg on Thursday evening, Minister of Police Fikile Mbalula encouraged other tourists visiting South Africa to pray harder, so they do not get robbed.
“I’m not saying getting robbed is a sign of weakness or anything.
But I believe that if tourists prayed harder before coming to our country, they wouldn’t be getting robbed so much.
People who pray don’t get robbed.
To all the other tourists visiting us, pray even harder” Mbalula said.
